cropped-sam_0844.jpgI am going to call myself a writer. Right now this blog is a mix of travel tales as travel has formed me and my aspirations in more than one way. And also some writing that is not about me at all, but about the worlds and characters I have begun creating since I ventured into this wonderful world of writing and storytelling. As well as other people’s lives and stories and learning from them. I am nervous letting the latter out to the cyber world for all to see.  But a wise man once said “Creativity takes courage.”  So here I am putting the inner-workings  of my mind out for all of you to read and interpret.  Have fun with it.  I do.

  1. hey Taylor, Your mom just forwarded this to me because you talked about Eliseo. I loved every word, not only the stuff about Eliseo but about the restaurant and the Pad Thai lady.
How can i “join” so I can get all your entries as you post them? You know I am pretty stupid about computer stuff. . . Aunt Kathy

  2. It is brave putting writing out into the world. I feel a leap of faith every time I press “publish” that my writing won’t cause ridicule, distain or indifference. WordPress seems like a supportive community, though. I like your writing, and I’m glad you found your bravery.

  3. Bravery is the second best weapon a writer can ever have. So glad you put yourself out there. Best of luck with your travels. If you ever travel to Koh Samed, I have a handful of friends out there who are sure to welcome you with open arms…and offer some good hotel rates too!

  4. This is beautiful. I am going to remember this “Creativity takes courage” as I need it too. Can’t wait to read more!

  5. Courage is rewarding. Thank you for posting your thoughts. I like getting lost in your posts. I have just started my own travel blog, and though my style is different, I like being inspired by people who take a leap for self-expression. Congratulations on this blog.

  6. I started a travel blog, traveled halfway around the world, then required emergency brain surgery. Followed that up with a heart attack. I chose to blog about all of it, but you’re right: it takes a certain kind of courage. How much of my soul do I bare? Thanks for posing the question.

    • It’s a good question. There’s something about blogging that makes you want to share your entire life with complete strangers. It’s almost addictive. I just visited your blog and you and your adventures sound amazing! Thank you for sharing!

  7. it takes some courage to lay yourself open for criticism… but also a great high in positive feedback… makes it all worth it…
honestly wonder if there is ever a right amount one wants to put out? sometimes i think i change with every post i write, or everyday. dont know. 🙂

  8. You have a great blog here!
I love how the theme complements the tone of your writing. It is a peaceful sight and a peaceful read.
Also, thumbs for having the courage to go public with your creativity! Not something I can entirely do!

  9. Hi Taylor! I love the way your theme is set up with a focus on the picture and then the story:) I also love how you are combining creative writing and travelling, as this is something that I aim to do with my own blog. Good luck in your future endeavors!
